Akomplice never stops changing the game. Case in point: the lookbook for their Spring 2012 collection. The initial idea was to capture Los Angeles in its rawest form, so Akomplice decided to pay surprise visits to five of their key retailers throughout the city. The result is a photojournalistic representation of the line on the bodies of those who sling it everyday. Each piece is depicted in its natural environment – whether that be Conveyor at Fred Segal, Black Market, Brooklyn Projects, X-Large or Backside – where the line is actually sold. And the store owners, managers and employees photographed by Blake Peterson got to choose their own looks. As you can see, the Spring 2012 drop runs the gamut from tonal tees to snapbacks, as well as AK’s classically clean cut and sew.
